Leaders play a crucial role in the development and progress of an organization. However, there is a question that arises in the mind of several people who aspire to be great leaders- are they made or are they born? Experts in the field still differ on the above question- some believe they are born whereas others believe they are made!

Stephen Varanko III – Great Leaders Are Made Not Born 

Stephen Varanko III has been with organizational leadership ever since high school. He graduated in 2000 and is an alumnus at Randolph Macon Academy. He had also made it to the President and Dean list. He graduated in History in 2005 and prior to that in 2003 he received his Certificate of Completion in The Community Emergency Response Team Program. He is fond of sports and has served as a captain in his school’s basketball, lacrosse and cross-country varsity teams. He has been the recipient of several accolades in school. He believes that leaders are made and they can come from different walks of life. Some experiences and skills shape them as leaders to fight all odds and become victorious in their personal and professional endeavors.

Anyone can be a leader in life

There is no hard and fast rule when it comes to leadership and how they are made. There are some dangerous myths about leadership that leaders have a genetic streak in them. They emerge as leaders early in life however this is not true always. There have been people who have faced several challenges, and they have moved on to become true leaders in their own right. They have risen in the midst of obstacles and defied all barriers that have come their way. Leaders can be born anytime, and there is no scientific proof that they are born from the start and emerge as true leaders as they grow up.

Leaders can be made anytime

When it comes to leadership qualities, one will find they come in all shapes. They have adjusted and accommodated themselves to the changing times. They have equipped themselves with the skills needed to be a successful leader to lead others. The biggest trait in a leader is they inspire others. They have the ability to motivate others with their presence. This is why they are looked up to by others- they lead by example.

Taking full accountability for their actions

Good and strong leaders take complete responsibility for their actions. This is why they ensure creativity and innovation wherever they go. They have powerful decision- making abilities and will be the first to lead when it comes to challenges. They make sure everyone in the team is aligned with the corporate goal, and this is why they are widely sought after for their valuable wisdom and knowledge.

According to Stephen Varanko III, good leaders are optimistic and positive in life. For them, no challenge is great enough to drag them down. Leaders can be made anytime, and everyone has the potential to become the leader they desire if they wish to!
